I have established contact on a professional level with my roommate from college who happens to be a teacher in the Dominican Republic. She is a first grade teacher at a Christian school in the mountain town of Jarabacoa. I look forward to conversing with her on a more professional level and discussing the similarities and differences of the issues and trends in early childhood education between the US and Dominican Republic.

I am glad that you were able to get such diverse contacts. I am wondering how much influence US policy has on the Dominican Republic given its proximity. As a preschool professional, I also look forward to a firts grade teacher's persepctive.
